I've been watching videos while waiting for my order to come in
I watch a few videos that were shot in Cuba, the Farmers in Vinales
All used either Honey or Maple syrup as glue, has any one here tried
It? Any opinions about it, thank you

A little bit of honey (as a glue) can give a nice sweetnes to a cigar.
Depending on the type of honey, it can also add some taste, which might (or not) go well with your blend.

So if you like sweet tobacco, yes, you can use honey (I have never tried maple sirup).

But take care, because it does not glue perfectly, the cigar can unroll if it is too tight for example.

Yes I have used both as glue. I found they stay tacky and lack in sticking power to my high standers.
So, adding it to my preferred tragacanth gum paste made it work for me.
I also used molasses, sugar and, a juice made from stevia leaf(very sweet). As well as anise, fennel, cumin, cinnamon, yada yada. even basil.
It adds what I call a lip note. Not like a flavored cigar. Maybe a premium flavored tip cigar which, I found all to be enjoyable.

Darkman, Are you asking because you are seeking that taste, or are you asking because they seem easier to locate than Bermacol or gum tragacanth or xanthum gum?

To arrive for my first time, I got almost everything from a ulu to pectin for glue, I have watching many videos and the
Shot in Cuba all have the same kind if glue, either Honey or Mapke syrup, I've never seen or heard if that so I'm curious

In case you have gluing issues, it's probably because pectin is the least "legit" glue. Meaning it usually works worse than any other typical cigar glue.
