If you want any wood for a stock let me know. I have a friend that cuts old walnut trees and makes stock blanks. Last I knew he has about 5000 blanks and still cutting them.
Very nice work!!!

I had to laugh. For about 5 or 6 years, I’ve been watching four volunteer sumac trees grow in the shadow of the old, broken-down apple trees behind my garden fence. I knew they were not poison sumac, since the leaflets have toothed margins. Today, for the first time, I noticed that the “sumac” trees have borne fruit.

Despite my keen observations over these years, it turns out that they are black walnuts. I have 4 black walnut trees, three of them beginning to produce.

Wish I had nut trees. My next house I'm going all in nutty.

I hear black walnuts are good but messy.

Whilst I've not tried it myself, a friend of mine says black walnuts make an amazing schnapps. Just pop them them in a bottle vodka or everclear.

Thats funny , because it was my first time skinning a gator. He had a busted front leg that was healed and he used it upside down heh heh. I ate the whole thing, still have some in freezer. It doesn't taste like chicken bust the meat when fried has the same consistency as chicken. I fried like catfish with cornmeal and cajun seasoning. It was okay. Yes That was a Nice buck from 3 years ago, one of my best but I saw even better last year and I got skunked last year, bummer i missed my first shot on a nice buck since forever, heh heh, and I had my doe duck my arrow during bow season. What can you say except thats life.I saved the good front leg skin to make a cool key chain for my oldest grandson.

Edit: I caught this one out of my lake but the next day me and my son in law saw an 8 footer in the river. you don't even want to know how we figured out the sex heh heh

the river flooded and got up to the back of the dam on our lake and we killed a big hog and threw the guts in the lake, must have attracted the gator and had to wait all year for gator season to catch him.
