im gearing up to completelly re-do the paint on this truck, i will be driving in about 2 months,

i was thinking of a flat black paint with red trim,

black cab, red bumper, the front of the nose of the truck in red,?? { all rustoleum paint }

a hood scoop, and many racing sticker;s,,,, make it kinda nascar looking,

and under the back window im gonna have FAIR TRADE TOBACCO . COM in big real nice stensiled letters,

the frame will be painted red, and the inside of the cab will be painted red,

this isnt my first time doing this to a truck, but the first time doing it to a semi,

heres a truck ive done this too before,

When I had the handyman business I bought an old Chevy 1 1/2 with a Reading body. It was in pretty bad shape. After repairing the body I used Rustoleum primer and finish coat. It looked good and held up very well.

I wonder about black. Won't that help cook you out when it's sunny and hot?

Sorry Chicken but you got that dead wrong. Flat black is one of the BEST absorbers. When you are trying to eliminate reflections of all kinds it is called "black body" effects. Actually there is no such thing as a perfect "black body" (no wise ass comments please). Researchers get over 99% non reflective regularly but not perfect.

When the AC is running you may be OK but what about when the truck is parked? It may get so hot you can't sit in the seat long enough to start up and get the AC running. I guess it could be "Kool" looking but it won't be cool. For good reflective properties you want lighter colors or chrome or aluminum. The downside of the last two is the visible light will be reflected into your eyes. Maybe too bright?

you should be able to see it, when the trailers on it,

if plans go right,

you'll want to see every square inch of this truck,

so im sure you wont miss the logo,

it's gonna be big, from the back window down,
