Who's interested in using them if they had one? who uses one? I am looking at making one and would have plenty of wood left over and may consider selling the extra ones. Let me know what you guys think.

For ~$5, you can order detailed plans for a wall mounted, lever-arm press. I've built one that easily applies 100+ pounds of weight. (For psi, divide the weight applied by the surface area of what you're pressing.)

I would be a potential customer. I know there a a lot of people who look at Bob's plan and say, that looks easy, but I'm not one of them.

I'm more of a fan of clamps/vices than the lever press, I don't really have an open wall for it. What size brick would you think would be required?

i'd be interested in a press like the one that guy was showing us when he was peddling that really amazing (and expensive) cutter. his stuff was the best i've ever seen and i would pay for it, just not what he was asking hehe.

it would do a solid brick of tobacco like 4 lbs worth.

yeah i still remember his stuff, the youtube video mesmerized me lol, such a perfect system. my truck cost less though lol.

There is alot of tobacco presses that some is out dated for commercial tobacco .
1 Old wall press that hand were tied and placed on a tobacco stick . then put in the press .
2 . Small bale 1' X 2' X 3' , use a high lift barn jack , air cylender for pressing . 80 to 100 lbs
3 Big bale press 4'X4'x4' cube , weighs around 800 to 900 lbs
4 Ct broad leaf press 1'x1'xx4'
5 Perique, Large timber with tobacco pressed into 55 gallon whiskey barrels average weight 480 lbs .
6 Several different ones like Deluxestogie posted .

Dear Lord...that press is nice. I'm working around in the $50 shipped range. between time and products. It'd be wood, not metal. nothing spectacular, simple but worth your money. Reenforced on the corners and on the clamping areas with 5/8" steel. All seems glued with 90+ pound water proof carpenters glue. Possibly weep holes as well in the body. Clamps included.

Mind everyone this will be for small bricks, when I said commercially available I meant sold.

I'm considering pressing some already shredded into a wafer, I got a can of pipe to acco few months ago that was dried and presses into a brick. I may try building the press fairly soon.

Yeah I plan to, I love the simplicity of the design. I just want to enforce it because I know the pressure limit but some might. I'll build one and put specs up on it when it's done
