I have heard that some Amish up north was using a wood planner for shredding . One person in the tobacco bis said he saw it first hand .
How it was being done or details I don't know .

Has anyone tried using a wood plainer for shredding bacci
I think BigB's third hand experience is the closest we've gotten. Fisherman is doing some experimenting.

Just be sure to turn your dust collection system off.
You may want to leave it on to make it easier to find whats left of your fingers.

I've seen a video of a chute built up around a portable table planer. When they fed the leaves it shot out the other side as tiny pieces to large torn pieces of leaf and stem., nothing resembling a shred.
