I watched again and see what you mean. What are the round black things? They look like the old road flares.

The "handles" on them make me think they are fishing net floats. They used to be hollow glass ball surrounded by string netting. These seem to be more effiicient to me. Plastic perhaps?

I think the tsunami in Japan may be the culprit inThe small plastic flotsam. I got in trouble over some seagulls one time. I dont like them.
