Picked up a few wooden pipe stand at the antique store this afternoon and thought I'd give instructions on polishing it with stuff you probably have in your kitchen.
1 part Vinegar (white or cider. This acts as a cleaner, don't worry, the smell goes away)
3 parts Extra Virgin Olive Oil (this acts as a preservative/polisher, generally fragrant free)
.01 parts almond or other nice smelling extract (gets infused into the wood)
Wipe on like a normal wood polish, buff in and let dry.
Enjoy the shinyness
