Wiring the RANCO ETC-111000 Temp Controller

I need help wiring to the Ranco ETC-111000 Temp Control.
I think I understand this wiring diagram, but just need someone who’s done this to confirm that I doing it correctly, per Figure 4. Don’t want to mess it up and short it out.

LOAD hot wire (black) goes to ‘NO’ terminal.
Jumper (black) goes from ‘NO’ to ‘120’.
Hot wire (black) goes from ‘120’ to POWER

LOAD common (white) goes to ‘COM’, then to POWER.

LOAD is my crockpot
POWER is the electrical power source (plugin).

That is not correct. My lap top is driving me crazy. I'll PM you my phone # -- John

Do you have a black and white wired togetter. Dont plug that in. I dont know the ranco but it dont sound right.

You got me all straight on this wiring. I feel much more confortable that I won't burn out the Ranco, and I'll have a working fermenting kiln soon. I'll post photos when I get it done.
A couple months ago, I trashed my foam box kiln, 'cause it leaked terribly. I need to get the new one running to finish my 2012 crop now.
So nice to have good, helpful friends on this forum.
