My leafs have air cured and fermented for a while. Six to eight weeks in the fermentationchamber. Is it a common thing for themto still smell a bit leafy and not smell like tobacco? Humidity was at 70% temp 120. My door did change color from the processes,so I know it was working.

Also how humid or wet do you make the leafs before you usethem to roll. I made one but it was two moist to smoke for a while.

Thanks
Bika

Case of cigar leaf for rolling:
  • Filler should be in low case (dry, but can be crushed without shattering)
  • Binder should be in medium case (dry, but very flexible)
  • Wrapper should be in high case (moist, very flexible and stretchy)
A cigar rolled with components as described should be smokable immediately. If you use pectin or gum, then allow it to dry for a few hours before smoking.
