I'm new here and new to growing tobacco. I recently ordered some Barinas and Mopan Mayan seeds. I don't know how strong/tasty they will be in a pipe. If they are quite strong, what would a good tobacco to grow for blending? In other words, if you were growing these tobaccos, how would you treat them? Thanks for the help, Ken.

If you want to jump in experimenting with whole leaf now and also start saving money immediately, go to www.wholeleaftobacco.com. The owner of the site is the founder of this forum. Fmgrowit, better know as Don, or Possum. He prefers Possum due to his possum recipes. I'm smoking whole leaf now until I get my crop in and cured.

Some Virginia would be good and some Orientals. You can also make Cavendish out of Maryland 609 which is great for mellowing out pipe blends.
