I've had the same interest in extended fermenting in a kiln. I'm at about 10 weeks on a small batch now, mostly VBL and some maryland, and will end it soon, because it's really getting tired of messing with it. Most of the same 2012 was kilned at about 5-6 weeks, and I'll compare the two. One thing I can say now it that the leaf gets much darker.
I'll probably wait a couple weeks after it comes out of the kiln, to let it settle, before sampling. Will post results then.
