    Re: Starting Seed Late

After 2 weeks they seem to be a little bigger. I have a shed I could put them in if frost threatens. But as far as the ones in the ground, well hopefully mother nature will be good to me.

They're looking healthy. Anything you do this year is going to make next year that much easier.

Knucks is right! Even if the weather gets you this season, next year will be a good one. If you put a stake in the ground about a foot away from the plant, you won't disturb the roots and will be ready to cover them when needed.

Yep, looks like virginia something that I have planted to.

Check out my "springheals progress" and you will also see what precaution I took for possible frosts using old bed sheets.

    Re: Starting Seed Late

So far my plants have lived through the frost we had a few weeks back. I covered them with buckets and the ones in buckets I put in the shed. Today we are expecting sleet and freezing rain about 1/4 inch. It was 80 here yesterday and now it's 37, freaky Texas weather.
