We always called them possum on a half shell. If you look closely at their feet they look a lot like pig. My wife's grandmother taught us that manatee was the best steak ever eaten. Her best saying was "If you eat a manatee steak, you'll throw a rock at a T-bone". Their body makes a round steak with a inch of fat all the way around.
