book on tobacco growing

found this while looking for more info on growing and curing, http://archive.org/details/tobaccogrowingcu00lockrich ,is,nt any copyright on it so you can read or download,,isnt very big, 26 mb,so thought it might help some of us new guys

I collect old books like this. They are very interesting but I think from a new grower perspective they should be avoided. Modern tobacco books ( and the FAQ on this site) have much more up to date info. For instance, this book talks about how in Cuba they harvest leaves "by the wane of the moon". I'm not too sure a newbie or an experienced grower would be willing to do the moon thing, let alone understand it.

For historical purposes though it's a nice book to read.
