Red Millipede, bad?

Always had these things. Never gave much thought to them. Wanted to know if they'll chew the roots of my plants.

As stated in any of the discussions about them on the Web, they primarily eat dead vegetation, but may damage very tiny seedlings. I'm missing your question.

Some bite. Some (in south america) can kill. Skunks love to eat them.

Other than the cyanide they can emit, I wouldn't worry about them.
