Well I started off with the Idea of this being a churchwarden, so I laid out my block, drilled it and then proceeded to make the stem, now for churchwardens I by those premolded vulcanite stems, well as I was cutting the tenon it broke, so I had to make another, and then when I was doing the shaping as I was almost done a pit/crack should up on the bowl near the bottom front cheek, so I thought well i guess I'll rusticate it, as soon as I hit the spot, a big chunk flew out where the pit was, and what was left looked like there was a chance the wall of the tobacco chamber might be to thin, so I made a shorter stem and I am gonna smoke this one myself! and with the first bowl being McC Christmas cheer 2012, I can say it is smoking pretty good for it's maiden voyage

Good looking pipe, Harry. Chit happens sometimes, but you ended up with a nice pipe for yourself.
