Here is a Churchwarden poker sitter I made the other day, I have made a couple similar but I wanted to make one with the Plateau

Did you have to play around with your bend to keep it sitting? Another beauty.

not on this one, this one the stummel had enough weight to keep it sitting, but on the first two I made it would not sit until I put the bend to it

The overall shape is suggestive of a ceramic pipe I bought in Bavaria 35 years ago. The Bavarian pipe is kitschy. Yours is stunning.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do you clean the stem on that one?

You can buy extra long pipe cleaners just for churchwardens. I can't remember where now, but once I also saw somewhere that listed pipe cleaner in a roll that you could cut off whatever length you wanted.

Walmart sells 12" long pipe cleaners in the craft section. They are synthetic. While this has often been said to be taboo, I have used them exclusively for the past 6 years with success, so long as I'm careful to blow out any residual fibers.
