What's up guys? My name's Ryan. Being a baseball player, tobacco is embedded in the game. I started dipping in high school, and used chew once I got to college. I come from a health conscious family, especially my father. Growing up with acne, I started experimenting with different diets to alleviate the issue. I started cutting things out of my diet (grains and dairy) with a lot of success. But I've come to learn that it's not those foods that cause the problem, but how they are handled and processed (like any other consumable) from nature to consumption.
Anyway, as I continue to add things into my life that I cut out for health reasons, tobacco is one that I'm really excited about. Like I said, I loved to pack a dip on the bench (life of a pitcher!) or throw in a chew while throwing. But the feeling I got from big tobacco was an odd one. Most times it would be a comfortable, relaxed state but more and more I started to become aware of an uncomfortable, jittery, even fake euphoric-like feelings. I've come to realize that's not from the tobacco itself, but from the additives, chemicals, and god knows what else. Yikes.
But I came across this forum as I've been looking for organic tobacco. As I prepare to get back on the field in a BIG way, I want to get into making my own dip and chew creations, or even try others', as this seems like a legit community. Growing my own is simply not an option.
I feel like this forum is in line with my views on tobacco, government, and freedom of living. I look forward to getting acclimated with you all. Thanks for taking the time to read.
