I'd grow Hopi and Xanti anytime. (Well, except this year I'm open pollinating a bunch of another rustica. Noone here has them, at least within 10 miles) This being said, I found them both to be extremely hardy compared to Penn. red, and the virginia brightleaf I grew under the same conditions. I consider hardiness and nic. content to be above flavor, and I find smaller leaves easier to handle.
