Really should be able to eat rabbit year round if you raise them off the ground and feed them pellets. Craigslist usually has a ton of rabbits advertised for sale. Don't have any mosquito born disease in Missouri that I'm aware of. But if there were I'd just spray the yard once a month to keep them at bay.

Just the wild cottontails in the mo. with the letter R. Domestic raised -any time. I think they have Big bass rabbit in the Ozarks?

Yeah, wild ones need to go through a freeze generally. But if you wear gloves and a mask you won't have any problems when you cook it I believe.

Sure we have big bass rabbit in the Ozarks. lol.
