Roots growing out of cup bottoms

My big plants have the roots hanging out the bottoms.
Should I try to keep them wet at all times. It will be at least 2 to 3 weeks before they go in the ground due to the lousy weather.

You're entering into the realm of float trays for which I am not expert. I think you'll be fine allowing the roots to feed in a trough of water with a little fertilizer mixed in. Suspend a rack just above the water and let the roots hang in the water. You might need to refresh the water a few times before you set the plants.

Another option is to transplant into bigger pots.

BigBonner posted that he cuts the fertilizer in his float trays and then the water (one - two weeks? prior to planting? not positive). How and when and for how long are in this thread.
