id dig a hole around the base of the plant 3'' deep. and line that hole with the poop.

You can make some tea and pour it next to them.
By time it got into the ground to the roots might be too late in the season and make it harder to cure if just put on the surface.

Add it to your compost pile for next year, or till it in this fall before you plant your cover crop.

foliar ferts like watering with miracle grow are faster acting and short lived, may be more appropriate at this point in the grow, just to give them a boost but not so much as to make curing more difficult.

If I remember correctly a tobacco plant picks up almost all the nitrogen and potassium it needs just prior to bud swell so fertilizing after that time would most likey not yield any benefit.

You guys have had it rough, did you also have hail early on as well?

i didnt personally in my yard get any hail.

but the field of the farmer that i made side money on the weekend.... he got hail that ruined his crop.... i was delivering a truckload of produce to ga. twice a weekend and making $200.00

i miss that side money.. not to mention all the produce i brought home.

BOBORO. had some bad hail hit his bacca crop.

No hail for me( did have some a few months ago with minimal damage) but my wife just called me (I'm presently in California on a business trip) and said a nasty storm blew through and knocked a tree over onto my 74 Ford E200 van and my '86 Diesel Jetta. Bummer
