Hey Chicken, What kind did you get? I'm getting reading to move up to the 1990's myself but am undecided between an Android or an Iphone.

I truly love my Iphone, but remember, it's a tool that people can track you by, sell your information from etc.

Always have a way to back up your pictures and contacts incase you need to destroy the phone!

congrats on the new tech tho!

I have a Motorola RazR Maxx. The battery lasts 2 days between charges, I phones need to be charged every 4 hours. If you use a PC, you'll want a droid. Most people I know don't like their Iphone if they've every owned a droid. Mac lovers love I phones.

The "tracking" Michibaccy is talking about can be turned off on a droid. I don't know if it can be on an Iphone.

I have a I phone 5 And hate Macs but it is ok. I don't understand Macs and can't copy paste and do a lot of things like a windows computer can.
But my phone is smarter than me.
I charge it once a night but I do not live on it.

Congratulations, Chicken, on your step up.

My Motorola cell needs recharging about once every 2 weeks. I don't think it's very smart. I've had the same one for over 5 years. It allows me to have conversations with people who are far away. Like a telephone, only portable, and much smaller. If I dial 911, it will automatically turn on its (otherwise disabled) GPS system, so they know where to come to pick up my body.

With my arthritic fingers, my typing speed has fallen to about 60 wpm, but the notion of typing with my thumbs (or my toes or my nose) isn't all that enticing.
