You can tell there is a lot of sand in the ground. Add some baged garden dirt to even it out some what. They love sand, but- To much sand will be hard to grow in.

Except Turkish Izmir? I know he doesn't have any there, but didn't you say that the Izmir likes the sand?

Yes it doe's. It grows well in blow sand here.
