I think next time I need to use a stronger press, raise the moisture content prior to pressing, and dry it out more before smoking. The flakes fell apart easier than I'd hoped for, however, the flavor and body is exactly what I was looking for! Nice stout English, just the right amount of sweetness. Think I'll smoke more right now

One of the methods I considered for a easy press was a square bread pan. Put wood on the bottom to support and use C Clamps. I might go this route as I find blends I want to make bigger plugs of. Currently I'm just kicking it with a 4x4 tube, but a bread pan could work. For small plugs you could use one of these or these. I think the bread pans would be strong enough to hold together and provide the nice squared edges. I'm only using the 4x4 tubing because I was able to snag it from a recycling bin.

This one is pretty nice too.
