Same here on the Admire or generic.

I plan to pull up my stalks soon and pile them in the patch to dry so I can burn them along with some boxes. Add more compost, till in, and sow with Crimson Clover as a cover crop over the winter.

Next year will be my leaf grow. No big seed grow outs for next year. I plan to grow:
Reams 158
TN 86
Maryland 609
VA 355 dark air
Izmir

That sounds like a good cigarette. How many of each? I'm planning on doing something similar, but I can't stick to one flue cured and one Turkish. Probably 4-5 of both types and a small seed growout of new varieties. We'll see.

My wife decided she wants to take over part of my patch so I'll be growing fewer plants but maybe I can squeeze in a second crop or sucker crop.
I ended my harvest pretty much late August and frost date is not until November 5th.

I will label my plants/seedling better and be more organized than this year I was very excited and just wanted to get a grow going but next year I'll plan better.
Recording my progress, putting up more/better pics and details to my grow.
Contribute more to the forum, I have some of last years seeds to distribute and seeding my swarr and scantic from this years grow.

I grew, Scantic, Japala, Olor but only 1 Swarr (sucker crop looking good) but next season I plan to grow more Swarr and if I can get some Vuelta Abajo, little Dutch seeds I'd be happy.

A very successful first grow this year , kiln is in the planning stage now.

My cigarette blend is 40% flue cure, 20% Burley, 20% Maryland, 10% Dark Air, and 10% Izmir. I'm going to try to figure out a number of each plant to give me about those percentages in leaf after harvest. Izmir will be planted with traditional spacing. If I do 200 plants, that should be close to 80-Reams 158, 40-TN 90, 40-Maryland 609, 20-VA 355 dark air, and around 30 or so Izmir due to close space and smaller plants. I'm just assuming everything except Izmir will have similar yield.

Reams 158 flue cure variety sun cured wonderfully for me last year. I can sun cure my Reams 158 and Izmir, air cure the rest, and have plenty of hanging space in the shop due to half the leaf being sun cured.

I might work in a few Costello Negro from Skychaser. I tasted a sample that air cured as golden as the best flue cured, and was probably the best single variety stand alone cigarette that I've smoked. Sky claimed the same thing and he wasn't joking. It had a slight floral taste as though it were a flue cure/oriental blend, but without the oriental. To me, as Samsun Maden is to pipes, Costello Negro is to cigarettes. Great stand alone variety.
