Conn Valley wrapper growers meeting

For any that may live close enough and would like to attend the Conn Ag Experiment Station annual meeting for those interested in growing wrapper tobacco in the Connecticut Valley, it is scheduled for February 24, 2015 in East Windsor, Conn. The usual discussion is about progress in breeding out and dealing with susceptibility to various pests and pathogens that afflict Conn Shade and Broadleaf, new ideas about pesticide use in light of new Federal regulations governing the acceptable amount of pesticide residue in finished leaf product, irrigation, insurance, etc. Runs about 5 hours from 9am. Those with pesticide application licenses can receive credits. Close to I-91 and Hartford-Springfield airport (BDL)
