In tuesday I will be on plain to Havana.
I'm thinking to ask some questions in factory. I know it is going to look stupid when I will walk around with tourist group but we could get some answers.
What would you ask if you have a possibility?

How do they decide which cigars get rolled at sub-factories?

Wow sounds like a great time. Just enjoy it all.
And as FmGrowit said, try to find some details as to what tobacco they use. One day you might be able to duplicate it rolling your own if you like the cigars.

Wow, you are the lucky guy!

Please ask what sort of additives they add to the leaf prior to fermenting or after. They have a signature flavor. I doubt they'll tell you but it couldn't hurt to ask.

Yes this too. Keep your eyes peeled for containers of additives and flavorings.

You are hereby appointed FTT spy. Can you hide a GoPro under your shirt? or maybe take your false eye out and fit the socket with a camera?

2.W
hat sort of additives are add to the leaf prior fermenting or after?
3.What is the temperature and humidity in the room after second fermentation where tobacco is resting on wooden racks?
4.
How long does it stays in this environment volado, seco, ligero, and what happens with leaf during that period?
5.At what temperature you break apart pilones?
6.What
happens with tobacco with poor burning? Can you improve it somehow?
7.What do you do with stems?
8.They say first fermentation is made by grower on farm. How does this procedure look like?

this are some of the questions I want to ask....

  1. Ask if you can be allowed to touch the filler, binder and wrapper on an active rolling table, in order to determine the case of the leaf.
  2. Ask if you can be allowed to feel the cutting edge of a roller's chaveta, in order to determine how sharp it is.
  3. Ask what kind of glue they are using.
