Your videos always remind me that my bouzouki music is still on cassette tapes--5 cassettes. I need to find a player that works, so I can convert them to digital.

Your pipe refurbishing techniques are clearly shown, and the result is lovely.

I had a Vauen [by C.Barontini] which i modify her but i was not so happy with the result so i decide to move further. The pipe started like this:

and after rustic-paint work and with a new ring and mouthpiece no looks like this:

Pipex 3 [change of look due to defects]

I had a Pipex 3 pipe with no good grain and a big dark mark on the left side so one day i decide to make her rustic so those things wouldn't be visible.

Unfortunately due to my pc problem last year many photos are gone and i never manage to retrieve them so i haven't got the ''left side'' photos to see the bad grain and the dark mark.

This is the final result and to be honest i am not happy. I have done some experiments with ''duo tone'' contrast and i am not satisfied with the results.
What's your opinion?

Let the grain be your guide. So, more vertical in the bowl area for that pipe to mirror the flame grain. I'm sure that's what you're thinking too. What you did was certainly a great improvement on the original nonetheless.

The two-tone stain I can't help you with unfortunately as I have no experience there.

Keep up the nice work!

Ferreti 1372 (total metamorphosis)

I had a Ferretti mod1372 pipe with some marks on the bowl, the pipe was ''abandoned" and one morning i decide to completely change her look, here as it was before:

and after some hard work turn out to look like this:

Sorry for the low-quality photos, are from a simple mobile phone which i use in that period and i didn't pay attention to details that time.

PS: This was one of my first attempts many years ago to make a slide-show video so there are some technical mistakes on it plus some mistakes in the photos (light reflection), sorry for all of these.
