This interesting article looks into how the hornworm moth (Manduca sexta) manages to hover in position while extracting nectar from a blossom that is moving in the wind under very low light conditions.

Hornworm moths look and sound like humming birds. If it's daytime, it's a humming bird. If it's dawn or dusk, it's a moth.
