Hey all!

My tobacco crop had to deal with a stressful move, so they bloomed a bit early, I think I will probably cut off the stalks soon. I came out today to find the crop had grown a nice shade of yellow - so I am gettting ready to harvest.

First off, this is my first harvest, does anyone have any good guide links? The predominant strains are gold leaf oronioco and mopan mayan. I am more worried however if these small leaves are worth the harvest? Are they smokeable? Will their flavor be different?

Here are 2 pics I took of the plants for reference, they are about 2 1/2 - 3 feet tall.

I would cut off the seed heads and throw them away. Next I'd cut the plant at it's base and hang up in a barn/shed/basement. Space the plants a few inches apart for air circulation.

If you have a flue curing chamber then you should prime the leafs and then put them in your chamber. Pick the lower leaves, wait about a week then repeat till you are done. When I grew Mopan Mayan I stalk cut it and air cured it.
