Going to plant some seedlings out tomorrow on the farm and see how the other 4 plants are doing
They probably look more like shrubs now

The one you're stalk curing with the thick leaves is not an oriental variety but a type of Nicotiana Rustica. Probably the same variety as the first photo in the first post of this thread.

Yes A plan is needed but first one for the gardener........I am only going to the farm again in A months time and the local caretaker is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Hope he doesn't weed out all my new seedlings

Not much of A update but there are some development

R7a1tTb.jpg

Decided to plant out some small seedlings in vegetable garden( under shade net) because we might be moving soon and I know they wont survive the move anyway.
Soil is about 50/50 clay and sand........the veggies grown there get huge so hopefully the tobacco likes it.

Good luck for the few survivors. Planted mine last week end, 319 plants, all by myself, absolutely knackered!!! Damaged my shoulder a few weeks back, so I had to employ a "landscape engineer" to do the heavy digging, but wouldn`t trust him with my plants. Lets hope and pray the hail stays away. Here in G/dal we had lots of heavy hail storms. After Xmas I will send you the parcel.
