New addition to Winding Creek Ranch for 2016


Our new breeding sow and her newest litter of bacon seeds, our butcher hog in the other pen and our breeding pair of heritage turkeys. Soon to come a milking goat and beehive.

They call them heritage heirloom turkey here in canada not sure if they go by other names in other countries tho

best livestock to raise in my opinion is hogs very easy no waste from the kitchen table anymore between the dogs for meat and bones and the hogs for everything else. our breeding sow is more of a pet then livestock the kids can ride her (when she not pregnant) she comes to her name and follows you around the yard lol and she is better then the dogs for guarding the property she killed 2 coyoties and ran a stranger off the driveway lol
