Does anyone ferment their leaves in contact with Spanish Cedar or other aromatic wood? I would imagine that placing a few pieces of cedar among the leaves in a kiln would impart a good dose of Spanish Cedar aroma. Too much of a good thing? Thoughts?

I've never tried it. I did make the mistake of using western red cedar as a plug press once. The tobacco absorbed a lot of the flavour from the wood. I didnt want that. I use parchment paper and oak now.

My suggestion would be to gain skill in finishing the leaf in the simplest method you can devise. After that (a few years from now), you'll have a firm basis for exotic variations. But then, I'm a party pooper.
