I always thought pu-erh tea cakes were made somewhat like tobacco plugs. They are quite solid. It takes a great deal of effort to break one apart. But the process is rather simple at this factory, requiring no form for the press. I wonder what the psi is.

I've got lots of different pu-erh teas aging, but since they are so dry, they age very slowly. I think I'm going to try kilning a variety of teas (raw/ripe pu-erhs, green/black oblongs, long-jin, some Indian teas, etc) to see what happens to them. I'm into tea, man. I never thought of kilning before. Damn.
