Hello everyone!
I sowed on March 10th.

My seeds are starting to sprout today.
Ohio Dutch :

Vuelta Abajo :

Goose Creek Red :

Now, should I already place them in direct sunlight? Removing plastic film?

Everyone have it's own opinion... some say not to give them too much sun light the first days...
I put them in full sun as much as I can, since I don't use artificial light :)

Great to see these small babies opening their seeds ;)

I think you can put them in direct sun a few hours a day without worrying too much ;)
You can start with one or two hours the first day if you fear to burn it, but I am confident ;)

Off to a great start. Always good to see those little ones pop. If your worried about direct sun then just put them in the shadows of direct sun. It works pretty good too. You should see a bunch of green babies real soon. Lookin good.

Pay good attention to water : when small, they can dry very fast and be dead in no time.
The soil must avoid being dry the firsts days.
(no need to over-water, or it may bring mold)

I'm slowly learning how to keep the right moisture. It never get dry but I was afraid of over watering a few days ago… Seems that I find the rigth balance gradually.
Definitively, Ohio Dutch is the most vigorous, it has already turned green :

Thank you!
Wow! Only 10l? I plan to use 20l containers since I read that it is a minimum... and I think that its height must exceed its width, right?
What is your recipe for the soil in containers?

[h=1]Earth(Ground) of the gardener KB and a little manure of stinging nettles at the beginning or a little blood for the nitrogen but only at the beginning otherwise the tobacco burns badly...

terre du jardinier KB... et un peu de purin d'orties au debut ou un peu de sang pour l'azote mais seulement au début... sinon le tabac brûle mal...[/h]

Last year I grow Columbian Garcia in a 12 l pot and it reaches over 200 cm. I needed lather to reach seed pods.
It has over 50 leaves and all the plant was reach with oil.
I bought the soil and mix it with perlite, vermiculite and briquettes horse manure fertilizer. Strong mix, specially at bottom of pot.
Usually I plant in the garden because I have some land but occasionally use pots for special strains.
Of course bigger is better. Only question is can you afford it?

Damn! Happy to read that!
Right, the price of containers is an issue! I'm still looking for the cheaper way to do… Good to know that I can put some in 15l containers if I don't find cheap 20l.
I imagine that you have good climate in Ljubljana, very beautiful country if I believe its renown.
Thanks for your tips!

I never buy containers. Go to your local restaurant and ask if they have any that they don't need anymore. In my country restaurants buy milk, mayonnaise, ketchup,... in this big containers. You just wash them and voila... They are good for one season because material is not UV protected. Next you can find them at building site. Lime whitewash 25 liters.
Perlite, vermiculite, fertilizer and good soil...that is expensive.
