Tobacco fried rice everyone?

Found this while searching for Indonesian traditional tobacco processing.

Apparently they sell fried rice with tobacco seed as spice. You can also request for real tobacco leaves as topping for the fried rice. No need for after meal smoke for this one.

Seriously, there is likely little to no nicotine in tobacco seed. It's rich in plant oils, and has been considered for manufacture of biofuels.

According to the article, you just pan fry some tobacco seed, then cook it into the rice like a seasoning. The article also says that tobacco is good for you, and can even cure cancer. I'm sure they wouldn't put it on the Internet if it wasn't true.

I am anxious to see how this turns out. Tobacco seeds look a lot like poppy seed so maybe they are not that bad. Maybe ya don't even need to fry them up first. Probably be okay as a garnish for a freshly top buttered homemade bun. Mmmm.
