being a lifelong woodworker and only a few years the cigar roller, I would assume to make a proper wooden mold the use of a "stabile"
wood such as mahogany,cherry or maple should be used. Probable to use poplar as well. Nothing too soft ,moisture intolerant nor resinous,definitely no aromatic red cedar as any of these could warp over a short period of use or impart an aroma or oil to the finished tobacco..
