I told my soon to be 8 years old Grandson that priming tobacco would be a good job for him because he was closer to the ground than I was . He said no pretty quick .
You should have say "Priming tobacco ain't a good job for him, he is to short" and he should have done that job with out a word.My kids are priming every leaf they find but but they stay away from the tobacco (or.. Not my 4 year's old girl she take it just because she ain't allowed). It's really funny to see..

Yeah, the more I tell my kids no the more they want to pick. I let my older one pick a few suckers, but I'm having them avoid the leaf altogether since it's so sticky and mature (35 days post top, stalk harvest top half in 2 days) I don't want to risk them getting any I'll effects.

I was kidding around with my Grandson on picking leaves . He watched me hand tie tobacco , Next thing I know he is picking out leaves and trying to hand tie a hand full of tobacco .
