OK, we got this feature working properly today...
When you're reading through the forum and you come across a post that is especially helpful with the information it contains, you can nominate it to be put into a kind of "highlights" thread for each forum.
Recently, a member was having trouble with mold. Another member commented on a way to prevent mold that was ridiculously inexpensive. These are the types of post you should nominate.
When a post is nominated, a copy of the link to that post goes to a special forum where you can review the post. If you feel the post is of exceptional information, you can vote to have it placed in a highlights thread. Once the post receives 3 votes, it goes to the highlights thread.
You can't nominate your own post...you don't even get the option...sorry...and only members can nominate and vote. Because conspiricies aren't all that uncommon, the final decission to place the post in a special thread is up to the mods and admins.
Any questions?
