Hey fm
I smoke cigarettes. I am hoping that these are the right varieties but no matter its mine, it will get smoked. lol
I have
Turkish Izmir
Burley original
Maryland
Virginian Gold #1
Dark Virginian
growing. The way I figure it, some will smoke just fine and the rest for when i run out.

That's kind of how I figure it. Sure there are differences but at the end it's all tobacco and all good for something. Hell some of the best cigars I smoked weren't even from cigar varieties, I'm sure the same holds true for cigs, they might just need to be finished different. Welcome to the forum.

Greetings Bull -- Welcome. I have friends in Bastrop. That's about 150 miles south of you. Good luck with your crop. You've come to the right place
for help and to get your butt busted now and then. :D

Welcome Bullwevil, Nice to have you on board, I'm in central tx. by the way.

John I just got my butt busted good [and thats bad] by a bunch of fungus gnats . I'm restarting everything just to be sure I'll have enough to transplant and set out.

BarG, seems like everything is eager to chew on tocacco leaves. Surround some of those plants with that white, row cover stuff and see what happens.

I posted a solution in your other thread. Try Mosquito Dunks. Fungus gnats are a very common problem among some plant collectors- Mosquito dunks are the standard solution used.

CR -- How do you use them? I have them around for my rain water reserves and they work fine. Do you place them on the ground or what?
