Planted some wrappers, Bezuke, St Andres, La Palma, Timor ( first time) and a few fillers.
They`e really struggling with the heat 36 deg C/ 97 deg F almost every day, no rain for 6 months now.
They will survive, but its a struggle.
Hope you all have better weather??

The agricultural outlook for SA through the next year looks disastrous. The western & Northern Cape provinces have literally run dry, many farmers are ruined & I'm starting to wonder if buying tobacco from Don isn't gonna end up being cheaper than importing tomatoes or potatoes from SA...

I think we are getting all your rain.
We had thunderstorms here by us at least once a week for some time now.
I am starting to feel guilty with all the rain we are having.

We can't do much about weather... we have to deal with what we got...
You have not enough rain, we have not enough sun...

Every year is different, maybe next time it will be easier and better :)
Good luck !

By the way, with a lot of sun and not many rain, you should try to grow some oriental strains.

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the crop quailities based on rainfall? I know that hot pepper plants get more capsacin and more heat in drier seasons.
