Here's a couple of updated pictures.The first is some cutters leaf of the Virginia116 that has just come out of my chamber and the second is some first pick off the kelly burley air drying in my stable.

Have these leaves that you show been in the flue-chamber for the full 5-6 days? Your 'finished' product (presumably after 48 hours of drying and a further 48 hours at 73.8C) looks like mine does after the first 24 hours or so of yellowing.
It even looks still relatively pliable - not sure of the correct term, (if there is one), but my leaves, though still relatively golden are curled, and certainly very crisp and brittle. Yours don't look like that.
At the moment I'm working with Virginia Gold and Golden Wilt, so is it possible that the difference is down to the variety?
