Chicken , the US dollar has been the worlds standard for a long time, when we experience a recession thats this close to a depression the whole world suffers the same fate were all joined at the hip and the glue is the american dollar. The saving grace has always been the american will or our positive drive to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and get the engine turning. The problem we have now is there is the majority of our country that thinks they deserve something they didnt earn just because they're AMERICAN ! In my opinion the only people who deserve to be taken care of are the elderly and the retired military they earned that rite because the built this place that we love so much and defended it..... sometimes with their life ! People need to wise up the only thing we deserve as AMERICANS is the opertunity to earn and do better for our own selves. Get government out of the way and let the AMERICAN will get our country back on it's feet !!!!! I'm sorry for the rant but i'm very passionate about my country ! Please the next time you hear someone say the government is paying for something tell them the government has never had any money it's always been our tax dollars that the government didnt earn ,and we all know that money not earned is easier spent ! GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY,AND GOD BLESS THE PEOPLE WHO ARE THERE PROTECTING IT !!!!!!!!!!!

That is one great video !!!!

I joined the National Guard when I turned 18 years old . with the deal when I graduated high school I could go to basic training then . I went to the monthly weekend for almost a full year . One weekend when roll call came up they didn't call my name . I thought what in the hell is going on when they said anyone who's name wasn't called report to the office . This was about three weeks before I was supposed to go to Basic training for the summer after I Graduated high school .
There I learned that I had marked down on my health papers where I joined that I had ear problems . I didn't think anything about it when I did it . They sent me to a ear specialist to test my hearing . Well Im am totally deaf in my left ear . I thought I was physically able , so why would being deaf in one ear stop me from being a National Guardsman .
After testing my hearing they tossed my butt out . I didn't understand at the time . But now when I am hunting turkeys I now understand why . I can't tell direction noise comes from .

Yep Its hard hearing out one side of my head . When my old laddy yells at me in my own home I have to ask which room she is in or where she is at if Im outside . I may hear her but I can not tell where she is at .
If someone talks to me on my left hand side I never hear it . If my wife is doing dishes and I try and watch TV I just walk out , I can't hear . The ratteling of dishes a or lots of noise keeps me from hearing a conversation .

With the time I spent with the National Guard , I really liked it . The whole bunch from top to bottom was good people . I know I would have retired from there . I liked cleanning the guns and the first time I went in the gun room , I was in heaven .

I understand and agree. From late 1953 till early 1956 I was stationed in Japan and was the pistol training Sgt. for my Company. The M1911A1 is and old friend.
Oh Yeah, I've heard all the tales about you can't hit the in side of a barn one. My advice for what it's worth is don't piss off a guy who knows how to use one.

And for what it's worth I have a 1911 and a Glock 45 caliber. Both are very - very accurate. The people that say the 1911 is not accurate are just lousy shots. Too much recoil for the wimps!

Some of the Army weapons had burned barrels and they were not accurate. Slap in a new barrel and you had a dandy.

I have a lama 45 automatic that is heavier than the 1911 and a little bulkier but is supposed to have the 1911 frame . It will ring your ears , but who ever its pointed will never hear it . It has a punch and fairly accurate . Now my brother has a Colt 45 on the 1911 frame . It is a sweet shooting gun and very accurate with less kick than my Lama .
I have so many guns Im gun poor .
Does anyone have a cannon ? Thats next on my list .

No cannon now, but helped built a black powder one, shooting coke can size projectiles many years ago. It was a blast in more ways than one. I am also gun poor, it seems I never can get enough of them.

Retired National Guard with 21 years service, a lot of fun at times and not so much in others :)

Man EVERY SINGLE WEEK END he would have me turn down some barrel stock and thread it for
Mauser receivers He got a good deal on some .06 barrel stock through the Shotgun News so he decided
that every one of his grand kids should have a rifle built by him ......shit all he did was finish the stocks
from 85 percent complete blank stocks I did the rest all 36 of them

One rifle I was particularity proud of was a .411 Barnes Supreme that was designed by a guy named Barnes
he was a famous gun smith and authored a few gunsmith books
We used .375 cases and expanded them out to .411 but they would crack around the shoulder after the second reload.
