tobacco field II.jpgThis is my tobacco field at Crooked Root Farms. I have 500 burley, 100 Spanish Comstock,100 Little Dutch, and 100 Pennsylvania Red.

Chicken you have my permission to use the Farm Title, I don't mind starting a franchise, just 1% of the top will be fine! :)
The ground I broke for my small enterprise had not been broken in 50 years and the root system that had developed was quite extensive. As my two bottom plow struggled with the clumps of roots it gathered the name came to me. I even pulled a huge root out of the ground that looks a bit like an alien from outer space! The rows were planted by my four children, 12, 10, 8, and 5, they did not follow my string as well as I would have liked, but they work cheap!

I don't know if you are in ginseng country but if you pulled up any of those roots they might pay for all your costs (~500 a large root on ebay)

I am in an area where ginseng grows. Harvesting of the plant has become such a problem that Georgia has placed some stiff laws regarding the plant.
