Gentlemen,
Please be aware that the ranting of irrationality on other sites has and will never have a bearing on what this site is intended for.
If you don't know the story, I will tell it again now.
A couple of years ago, I joined another How To Grow Tobacco sites on the internet. When I joined, there might have been a couple of hundred members. Everyone had the same goal in common...growing tobacco for personal use.
At some point, a new member joined who was vastly familiar with how the tobacco industry worked. It was then that the true story of the tobacco industry was told.
The retail price of one pound of manufactured cigarettes costs from $125 -200 per pound. The Federal government gets about $25 per pound without touching the tobacco. The tobacco farmer gets about $2.00 per pound for starting the seed and plowing the fields. Then, he must buy fertilizer, insecticides, pay for farm hands to set the plants, pay the loan on the tractor, buy fuel, pay property taxes, pay school levies, pay local taxes, pay, pay, pay and then pay some more.
The cigarette producers make the other $100 per pound from the same leaf they pay the farmers $2 for.
Now we have a lunatic ranting about how it is illegal to sell whole leaf. His rantings are doing nothing but depriving a man from his way of living. Tobacco farmers grow tobacco....that's what they do, and for any man to stand in the way of another man's right to make a living is just plain WRONG.
Like I say in the "rules" for this site..."I don't have to make any rules. We're all adults here, we already know the rules". How is it...Why is it that a man would be so devoted to deprive another man of his legal right to grow and sell tobacco?
None of us were born yesterday, the only reason the foolishness is going on is to eliminate the competition or to fulfill the work of outside sources. Am I accusing Roy and Lonnie of working for big tobacco? Of course not, (but I got you thinking...didn't I?) Big tobacco has a lot to lose from people growing their own tobacco...like billions of dollars. I wouldn't put it past big tobacco to try something like Lonnie and Roy are doing...holy shit...am I starting to sound like them?
Paranoia is contagious, it's time to jump ship before you sink with the captain and his first mate.
