Smoking less or more?

Has any one who grows there own changed there smoking habits?

Previous to whole leaf it was not unusual for me to smoke a carton a week.

My cigar consumption is up and my cig. consumption is down.

Too soon for me to know how it will affect my smoking habit. I usually smoke a bunch and send up a pretty good cloud on the days that I can rest a bit but that has not happened since I started growing tobacco this season. So, overall my consumption in down, dangit.

Mine is definitely higher this year due to trying all this new tobacco!

Mine is down, some of it is deliberate, the rest is changes in activities. I want to get back to 1/2 pack a day by the end of the year, it's been 25 years since I was at that level. What I do smoke, I enjoy more. My end goal is 5 cigarettes a day or less.

But seriously, If you want to smoke less then smoke tobacco with more nicotine in it. If your body craves 20 mg of nicotine per day and your cigarettes contain 1mg then you are going to smoke 20 cigarettes a day. But if your ciggies contain 2 mg, you will probably smoke much less than 20.

Since I smoke mostly cigars, and occasionally a pipe, my consumption is almost proportional to my cigar rolling speed. I suck down 5+ cigars a day. But in agreement with Randy's assertion, my hand-rolled cigars probably contain about half to two-thirds the nicotine of the factory cigars that I used to smoke (Hoyo de Monterrey, Punch, Honduran and Nicaraguan puros).

i smoke less, because i been making my cigg, blend a little strong, and one of my cigg's burn a long time,

I've not yet had a chance to try any of the leaf that I'm growing but thankfully I've been smoking some leaf I ordered from Don. About 6 years ago I switched from cigs to a pipe and that decreased my consumption a lot. Right now I'm still having too much fun experimenting with blending different leaves together so I'm still smoking as much overall as before but I'd say I'm smoking less per session.
