What Pipe or Pipe Tobacco Did You Smoke Today? [pics]

So my order arrived today and the virginia was my first canidat to test and look if i have to go to the dark side of the force or if the light side can make a comeback.
I have to say that the smoke was still mellow and the taste was only present via retrohaling but it was a much nicer taste then the aromatics. Slightly sweet and this bready/grassy/flower flavour.
Hard to really put my finger down but it was much more natural and pleasing.
A new discovery was also that i had with matches a good time and it was easier to relight than with my butan lighter. I would even say that it tasted a little bit better than the relight with the lighter.

Thank you. It is a small dublin pipe from BPK if i remeber correctly it is a czech pipe.
I wanted to get something churchwarden like and it wasnt that expensive. In the moment this is my flake pipe

Sid.Stavros how many kombolois do you have?.I read there's a museum in Athens that have thousands,do you own it?
I had been wondering the same thing for a bit.
I've also wondered about the bead quantity. Tradition is 23 in Greece, I thought, but there's a number discrepancy in a lot of them.

17,19 & 23,those are the pray ones.I think the smaller ones are "worry beads",to fiddle with.
I have a small one but I would like one with the tassle on it.

My dear friends, Kompoloi is a personal item and shows some things for your character. If you don't have some ''art'' on you or you are just indifferent you will buy one and leave is ''as is".
On the other side you will buy or modify one with 17 or 19 beads with a tassel, this is balanced so you can swirling it gently and make the transfer of beads from one side to another, this is an ''all around" Kompoloi for most cases. For Older guys there are bigger and heavier Kompoli which can not swirling it because are made for the ''rub the bead-think and let it drop" technique, back in the old days you could see them in Cafe in the hands of Captain or a Sire for example. Fancy Kompoloi with jewellery at the and are just for show and are not practical. Small Kompoloi are for guys who just want to have their hand occupied with something so they don't start smoking cigarettes or for Elders which their finger can not hold something heavy.
If you see a guy swirling fast and nervous a Kompoli like a butterfly-knife making noise is irrelevant and disgraces the item.

Good morning from Greece, he had heavy rain with thunders here in Athens but now everything looks better. I am smoking Cornell and Diehl White Burley in a Vauen.
Here is my pipe-smoking bag which i always carry with me when i am out in the Cafe for example.
Filters (front pocket not visible), tamper main and auxiliary, tweezers for extracting dirty filters, drill for cleaning the hole of the bowl, screwdriver for adjusting the flame intensity of the lighter, pipe cleaners cotton and synthetics. Leather pipe support base, lighters: Zippo, simple butane and torch type, matches.

50% Longcut Virginia, 30% Black Cavendish and 20% Dark Fired Kentucky. I press 50 grams with a c-clamp in 2" pvc pipe with a cap on the end and a 1-1/2" pvc cap as the piston backed up with the appropriate sized chunk-o-wood. 2 weeks under pressure yields a nice little crumble cake that holds together and isn't hard to rub out.
I'm sure if I was patient, it would be awesome with some age on it.
