The other day I was moving stuff around in the shed and bumped into one of the hands of leaf that have been hanging since last September.
The hand was bone dry, and shattered at the point of impact, damaging 7 of the ten leaves. It’s likely that anyone that has air-cured leaf before has had this happen.
Oh well. I let it come into case and brought it in. Figured I’d snap a couple pics for the record.
The Hand was bound with stem. Held up fine.

Almost every leaf in the bunch has a big hole.

Oh well. Here’s a “book” of 20 halves

Much more compact, and it’ll stay in case for a while this way, too.
