I picked up this mold pretty cheap, based on the listing pictures I thought it was just a Torpedo shape. I'm not sure what you'd call this shape, some kind of Figurado? Fairly small, 40 gauge at the thickest and just over 5" long. The second picture shows my 3/4 attempts, I figured out how to bunch it right to get a good draw, but the wrapper is really challenging. I'm not really sure what a finished cigar "should" look like out of this mold. I like the way the lower one looks but I have a feeling the cigar should extend past the mold and be sealed at the head. Any pictures or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Cylindrical cigars (parejos) are a relatively recent thing. Shaped cigars (tapered foot and tapered head) were the norm for most of the 19th and the start of the 20th century. (Proof is in all the political cartoons depicting cigars, and in what the "Cigar Store Indian" is holding in his hand.) Your mold is ideal for easy to roll, easy to clip, easy to light cigars.

With a cylindrical cigar (parejo), the entire, bound cigar lies flat on the rolling surface, start to finish. With a figurado, begin at the foot with the cigar head tipped into the air, so that the slope of the foot is flat against the rolling board. As the foot is completed, lay the cigar flat to continue. At the head, lift the foot in the air, so that the slope of the head is flat against the rolling board.
